Tony Adams is being lined up as the new head coach at MLS side New York Red Bulls. Adams is keen to re-launch his coaching career following an unhappy spell as manager of Wycombe Wanderers and only 16 games in charge at Portsmouth last season.
Adams, who amassed 504 Arsenal appearances and 66 England caps in a illustrious playing career, is set to succeed Juan Carlos Osario who quit as Red Bulls coach in August.
If he does end up in New York, Adams may look to bring with him Arsenal's record goalscorer Thierry Henry . The 32 year old Frenchman is known to want to finish his playing career in the USA and linking up with his former team mate could provide the perfect opportunity.
Henry would certainly have an enormous marketing impact for the Red Bulls, but if he were to leave for the Big Apple, he would be likely to wait until after next summer's World Cup.
Adams, 43, is currently scouting for Arsenal but has coached in Holland with Utrecht and Feyenoord.
