Arsenal will intensify their efforts to bring QPR youngster Raheem Sterling to the Emirates Stadium during next month's transfer window according to the Daily Mirror.

The QPR wonderkid turned 15 earlier this month and could still be on course to beat the record as the Football League's youngest ever player set by Reuben Noble-Lazarus , who made his Barnsley debut at the age of 15 years and 45 days last season.

Sterling has impressed playing for England under-16s and is reportedly training with QPR's first team squad, having made appearances for the club's reserve team.

Sterling has attracted interest from a host of Premier League clubs including Manchester City , Liverpool and Fulham.  Arsenal are believed to be prepared to offer a million pound deal plus a permanent move to Loftus Road for on-loan striker Jay Simpson .

Arsene Wenger is keen to tie up a deal and avoid Arsenal being drawn into a bidding war with other clubs.  Meanwhile Sterling, if he is to move, reportedly favours a switch to Arsenal, given the club's recent track record of successfully developing young players.
