Spanish giants Barcelona are tracking Rangers defender Madjid Bougherra , according to an article in the Scottish Sun this morning.
Txiki Begiristain, the sporting director of Barcelona has reportedly added Bougherra to a list of names given to coach Pep Guardiola, which included DVDs of the central defender in action.
Barcelona were impressed with Bougherra’s performances at the recent Africa Cup of Nations in Angola but may face competition for his signature from fellow Spanish side Sevilla.
A move to the Nou Camp hinges on Begiristain's long-term future at the club, as he is expected to leave Barcelona in the summer.
In addition, the Catalan giants will be keeping a keen eye on Bougherra during the World Cup.
