Spurs manager Harry Redknapp will turn north of the border for a goalkeeper and at the same time offload out of favour striker Robbie Keane .

Celtic's Polish stopper Artur Boruc is seen by Redknapp as much needed competition for the number one slot at Tottenham in the wake of Carlo Cudicini 's long term absence.  29 year-old Boruc has been a popular figure at Celtic since his arrival in 2005 and has 41 international caps to his name.

Keane has fallen behind Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch in the pecking order at Spurs and has further antagonized Redknapp by organizing an unauthorized Christmas jaunt to Dublin for himself and 15 team mates.

Spurs only brought Keane back from Liverpool in January for £12million after his ill-fated move to Anfield. However, he looks set to leave White Hart Lane for a second time.

Highly unlikely to say the least.

If Keane's wages are what they are rumoured to be then no SPL club including Celtic could afford him, unless of course the player decided to take a pay cut of around 75%.

Can't see it.

It must be nearly January again, silly season is upon us. I love these 'swap' deals that are mooted every year... When will everyone learn that running modern football clubs isn't like swapping football stickers in the playground.
