David Beckham
After David Beckham saw his AC Milan team dumped out the Champions League last night by Manchester United , 7-2 on aggregate, the former England captain has backed his old club to go all the way in the competition.
The former Manchester United number seven said: "When you get knocked out of a competition you kind of hope that the team that knocks you out goes all the way. I really hope they go all the way.""
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson was also confident of his side reaching a third successive Champions League final.
Ferguson: "I was surprised at Real Madrid's result. But European football is very tough now. In the last few years English clubs have done very well and I think they will be there again. It doesn't matter who we play in the quarters. We are there and hopefully we take advantage."
