Former England captain David Beckham has spoken of his desire to face Manchester United in the Champions League, when the draw for the knockout rounds is made tomorrow.
The 34-year-old will join AC Milan on a six-month loan deal from LA Galaxy and the Rossoneri have a strong chance of facing United after finishing as runners-up to Real Madrid in Group C.
Beckham: "I would really like to face my former team in the next round. Since I left United in 2003, I have not returned to play at Old Trafford. Seven years have gone by and I would like for that to happen. Me against United, it would be beautiful, wouldn't it?"
The former Manchester United number seven added: "It would be very difficult but it will be very exciting. I like big challenges and I would love to play that type of game. I would love to win the Champions League because it is a special competition, where the strongest teams compete."
The draw for the knockout rounds of the Champions League and Europa League is made on Friday.
