Arsenal striker Eduardo has given an in-depth interview to the Brazilian press and confirmed he will be available for the Premier League clash with Stoke on Saturday.

The Croatian international who was born and grew up in Brazil has not played for Arsenal since the 0-0 draw at Aston Villa and his return will be a boost for manager Arsene Wenger.

The former Dinamo Zagreb striker said that although he still suffers muscle injuries after his long lay-off following the horrific leg injury suffered in a tackle with Martin Taylor in Arsenal’s match at Birmingham in February 2008.

Eduardo said: "I have special plate in my foot which makes me feel like a Gladiator! I’m protected and with that I have gained confidence as well... I took great strength from the doctors in England and Brazil who told me 'you can rest assured you will play again.'"

The Arsenal striker added that he did not want to remove the plates in his leg as "it would take more playing time away, I wanted to train fully in pre-season with the rest of the players and at the moment it does not bother me."

Eduardo finally concluded that "the worst is over."

In 2009/2010 Eduardo has played 22 games for Arsenal in the Premier League and Champions League, scoring six goals and providing five assists.

I think his plates have made him a lot slower and he should have him removed if its safe if not then he will just have to learn to work around it.

I wish he can be injury free then he will contributed to the team,
he is a great player but he is still scared sometimes to challenge in those hard takcling situations.

I dont think the plates have anything to do with his pace.
Its a matter of time until he ragains it. His muscles are obviously not fully fit, hence his hamstring problems.
He will be the player he was before, Im sure of it.
