Ibrahim Saied
Egyptian central defender Ibrahim Saied is set to join Canadian side Toronto FC of the MLS. The club, founded in 2006, is the only Canadian team in the MLS.
"I have worked out the details of the deal with the club's officials, and I will travel to the USA in a week to undergo a medical," the 30-year-old defender told Egyptian media.
During his career, Saied has played for Egyptian giants Zamalek and Ahly, as well as Premier League side Everton and Turkey's Rizespor. However, some feel that he has never lived up to his high potential due to some childish antics on and off the pitch.
Saied recently terminated his contract with Libyan club Ahli Tripoli by mutual consent after recording only 12 appearances with the side. Saied moved to Libya after spending last season at Egypt's Ismaily.
