Jens Lehmann

Reports in Germany today have claimed that Jens Lehmann is mulling over a move to the MLS.

Lehmann is out of contract at the end of the 2009/2010 campaign and has not ruled out continuing his career outside of the German Bundesliga.

The 40-year-old said: "The debate is not over yet. My plan is to finish at Stuttgart at the end of the season and I will not continue here."

The former Arsenal keeper left a move to America open, saying: "I often say, you never know what’s coming."

MLS sides New York Red Bulls and Seattle Sounders are reportedly interested in Lehmann, at the latter he would join up with former Arsenal team mate Freddie Ljungberg.
