Former Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has dismissed Arsenal 's chances of winning the Premier League and denigrated Arsene Wenger's youth policy.

Mourinho, who is preparing to lead his Real Madrid side as the Spanish season kicks off, took time out to comment on the Premier League.

The self-styled 'special one' said that each year Arsenal fail to fulfill their potential and that this season will be no different.

Mourinho said, "Year after year it looks like success. But no, it looks like it, but no.

"And it’s always the same kind of comment: 'It’s a young team' or 'it will be next season'.

"I remember when we (Chelsea) played them in a Carling Cup semifinal when they played a team of young boys.

"That team of young boys are a team of 25, 26 or 27-year-olds. So Cesc Fabregas , Theo Walcott, Gael Clichy, Alex Song and Bacary Sagna are not a team of young kids.

"They are a team of an age to win things. But I do not think they will do it.

"I think it will again be Manchester United, Chelsea and Manchester City, because they have a great squad."

Arsenal have failed to win a trophy since lifting the FA Cup in 2005. Arsene Wenger has added Marouane Chamakh and defenders Laurent Koscielny and Sebastien Squillaci to the Gunners' squad this summer in the quest for honours.

Mourinho loves shouting his mouth off
and dont worry Mouinho we are not just going to win the league but we will play Madrid off the park in the CL
and then you can cry "it takes times to gel a team together"

I would really want to see if Mourinho can win anything if he has a stadium debt on his head and he has to sell his best players to balance the book

and one last thing Mourinho you are second choice Real were after Wenger before they came for you
so even they think wenger is better than you

If I was Wenger I would blow up Mourinho's comments, print , frame & hang it up in te players dressing room.

This can only spurr the players to prove ALL doubters wrong once and for all!

We all know Mourinho is just a "wind bag".always going to established teams, who are primed for success and then buying instead of developing quality players himself. He's like a mercenary, always chasing money.Murphys' Law will sumtime this season pit ARSENAL against Madrid then we shall see who can win what.....Gunner 4 Life
