Spanish newspaper Sport report this morning that Italian giants Juventus are also tracking the contract negotiations between Gonzalo Higuain and Real Madrid.

The 22-year-old striker is currently stalling on a new deal at the Bernabeu with Higuain reportedly looking to secure "Galactico" wages on a par with Karim Benzema who he has kept out the Real Madrid team.

Manchester City were linked with Higuain earlier this week and Sport add that the Premier League side have confirmed their interest to Real Madrid.

City would have no qualms over paying Higuain the wages he feels he deserves and would also not balk at the 150 million euro release fee.

Both Juventus and Manchester City are waiting on Real Madrid’s next move as Los Blancos are expected to significantly increase his current deal of 1.8 million euros a season.

Gonzalo Higuain added to his burgeoning reputation last night with the only goal in Argentina’s 1-0 win over Germany in an international friendly. In 2009/2010, he has scored 18 goals in 24 appearances for Real Madrid.
