Juventus FC Torino have stepped up the chase for Liverpool defender Daniel Agger , according to the Corriere dello Sport.

The Dane, in his sixth season at Liverpool , came back to action against Bolton Wanderers on Sunday after being out injured since September 25.

Meanwhile, Liverpool boss Roy Hodgson has denied offering the 26-year-old around.

"Daniel Agger has not been 'offered' to anybody," he told the Liverpool Web site.

"So if ever you hear Daniel Agger is being 'offered', it's not by Liverpool Football Club - it's by unscrupulous people who are second guessing and looking at players who have not been in the team in the last couple of weeks and suggesting they might be available.

"But anytime you read that, it is untrue."

Agger is contracted to Liverpool until 2013/2014 and is valued at €7.5M-10M.
