Owen Hargreaves
Owen Hargreaves and Portugese youngster Bebe have been left out of Manchester United 's Champions League squad.
Both players were included in Sir Alex Ferguson's 25-man Premier League squad. However, with clubs able to play as many players under 21 as they like in the Premier League, there is more competition for the Champions League squad where the same age exemption does not apply.
Young players such as Javier Hernandez, Chris Smalling and Gabriel Obertan have been included in Manchester United 's Champions League squad. However, Bebe has been left out, having failed to make an impression at Old Trafford as yet.
29-year-old midfielder Hargreaves played for Manchester United in their penultimate game of last season against Sunderland, but continues to struggle in order to recover from a knee injury.
