Mesut Ozil
Manchester United have resumed their pursuit of World Cup star Mesut Ozil , according to the Sun.
Werder Bremen have said they are ready to listen to offers for Ozil, who was an IMScouting Player-to-Watch two years ago.
"I can imagine that in the coming weeks some club signings will begin to be more concrete," said Bremen director Klaus Allofs when questioned about the future of the German midfielder last week. "If there are concrete offers and Mesut and his agent want to consider them, we will study them."
Chelsea and Arsenal are among several clubs vying for Ozil's signature with Manchester United after a string of phenomenal displays in South Africa.
Arsenal are said to be eying Ozil as a possible replacement for Cesc Fabregas, and are believed to be prepared to pay Werder Bremen £20 million for him.
Manchester United Manager Alex Ferguson lost out on Ozil when the German was still a teenager, but is said to have been closely monitoring the 21-year-old playmaker.
