The English giants have set their eyes on Sau Paulo`s 19 year-old attacking midfielder, who is one of the biggest talents playing in South America.

According to reports, Liverpool Representatives have watched Lucas five times in recent months. Director of football, Damien Comolli, attended his debut for Brazil`s senior national team on March this year , when lucas came as a second half substitute and gave a brilliant performance against Scotland.

But the merseysiders are going to face a stiff competition from their big Manchester rivals, who has been long looking for a creative midfielder. The English clubs are not alone in the race, as Real Madrid and AC Milan are also showing interest in the starlet.
