Maurice Edu
Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu is looking to use yesterday's winner in the Old Firm match as a platform to build on for the remainder of the season.
The 23 year-old stabbed the ball home in the dying seconds of yesterday's clash against Celtic at Ibrox to score the only goal of the game.
Describing the feeling of scoring the winner for Rangers, Edu said "It was just pure excitement.
"To score the winning goal in an Old Firm match is just an unbelievable feeling. It went the way we wanted it to go in the end."
The USA international has endured a frustrating season until Sunday, having spent the first half of the campaign nursing an injury picked up during Rangers' title celebrations at Tannadice last May. Having played precious few games this season, Edu hopes to feature much more during the coming months, especially with the World Cup on the horizon.
He said, "I've had kind of a rough season with all the injuries and it's been stop-start,
"When I come into the team, I'm just trying to get as many minutes as possible and try to get back to top form.
"To score a goal in a game like this - and for it to be the winner - is a great feeling. I'm going to use it as the extra push to keep working hard and try to stay in the side."
