Real Madrid have put four Germany World Cup stars top of their wish list.

According  to Spanish papers Marca and Sport, the Bernabeu outfit are after Mesut Ozil , Sami Khedira , Bastian Schweinsteiger and Thomas Muller .

Sport says that Real Madrid President Florentino Perez is particularly "obsessed" with landing 20-year-old Muller from Bayern Munich.

The paper said that the president would first try to tie the right midfielder with a contract and then attempt to close the transaction with his club.

Ozil, a past IMScouting Player-to-Watch  and one of the young sensations in South Africa, has said that he is staying with his club, Werder Bremen.

However, with just a year left on his contract, the Bundesliga side could be tempted to cash in on their midfield maestro rather than risk losing him for nothing next season. Real Madrid will face some fierce competition for the 21-year-old though, with Arsenal and Barcelona said to be vying for his signature.

Meanwhile, Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly been monitoring Khedira for some time and the La Liga runners-up have already tabled an €8 million bid for the defensive midfielder. His club, Stuttgart , are said to be holding out for €15 million for the player whose contract is up in 2011.

And although Bayern Munich have declared Schweinsteiger not for sale, the attaching midfielder recently hinted at a move, saying that he was "not married" to the Bundesliga champions.

Schweinsteiger has two years left on his contract and has a €55 million buy-out clause.

Oezil and khedira are very talented but too young and inexperienced for a club like Real... Schweinsteiger is the best box-to-box midfielder I've seen in years, versatile and hard-working with absolutely no ego who can control the midfield and make things happen. He's expensive but worth every penny.H

theres no point in getting khedira and schweinsteiger when alonso and lass diarra are there i think schweinsteiger and alonso should be the first choice. khedira would be wasted and theres no point in getting ozil aswell when real have just signed di maria.

Khedira and Schweinstiger couldnt get close to Iniesta and Xavi (of Barcalona!!!) when Spain played Germany, plus Realmadrid have Di Maria on the left and Ronaldo on the right, aswell as Alonso, Diarra and van der vaart plus others in the middle....so why would Realmadrid sign Germanys Midfield

@jacobs: I´m sorry, but this overhyping of the spanish team is hilarious! They scored not much goals at this world cup, I was bored of most of their games, they lost against Switzerland, SWITZERLAND!!!! Their match against Paraguay could have ended differently, if the referee wouldn´t have been on the side of the spanish team for the whole time.

we would like all four of the German's as well, we won't pay 20 million for Muller though, we are pretty close to Khedira according to recent reports, we've been chasing Schweinsteiger much longer than Real, for the last 18 months or so, I see him in blue in the not too distant future, Ozil would be good at Chelsea too, but we arn't married to the idea of getting the Germans, we'd be jsut as happy with Gervinho, Makoun, Ramires and Dzagoev etc.

bastian schweisteiger could do well in Real next to xabi alonso. he isnt a selfish player at all but he can score when he is needed. oezil is VERY good and has potential to be the best BUT he is very young. i still think that he is good enough to play for Real. the only problem is where would they put him?
