Tottenham bring in Spanish keeper Asier Riesgo on trial

The long-term injury to Carlo Cudicini has meant Spurs are now looking to bring in a goalkeeper to challenge Heurelho Gomes.

Spanish Sugunda Division side Real Sociedad have reported on their website today that Asier Riesgo has joined Spurs on trial with a view to a loan move for the rest of the campaign.

The 26-year-old will start training with Tottenham this week although the terms and conditions between the two sides have not yet been agreed.

Riesgo is 6.1ft and has a contract with Sociedad until the end of this season. He has played four games this season and has been at the club for the whole of his career.

During 2008/2009, Riesgo played 38 games on loan at Recreativo Huelva where he picked up two yellow cards.
