Robbie Keane

The People newspaper have sensationally claimed today that Spurs captain Robbie Keane has been made available for transfer by manager Harry Redknapp.

Alongside the Republic of Ireland striker, Spurs are also willing to let go of Alan Hutton , Roman Pavlyuchenko and David Bentley .

Spurs have reportedly placed a valuation of eight million pounds on Keane with Sunderland and Aston Villa leading the chase. Keane played 58 minutes of the 1-0 defeat to Wolves yesterday but is generally thought to be third choice behind Jermain Defoe and Peter Crouch at White Hart Lane.

According to The People Spurs are eager to offload these four players in order to sign Ruud van Nistelrooy. The Mail on Sunday today suggests Tottenham will use incoming money to sign Matthew Upson and David James whilst Internacional midfielder Sandro is expected to sign for the London club in January.

Everton are believed to be interested in Scotland full-back Alan Hutton , Manchester City have shown an interest in David Bentley and Roman Pavlyuchenko ’s agent has confirmed the Russian striker will leave in January.

Ooleg Artemov said: "I do not want to comment on what Redknapp says but we had a very constructive meeting with Daniel Levy at which we discussed Roman's future. Now we are expecting the next stage of the talks. There is clear interest in him from several clubs. Personally, I want Pavlyuchenko to move."

This is wishful thinking for spurs fans. However, if Redknapp made good on this, it will show he knows what he is doing and won't take rubbish from his players. Keane has been a really big let down since coming back. Pav sulks, but to be hair never given a real chance. Bentley and Hutton are both just pure brown-pants. Ruud would be great with Defoe, as Crouch does very little to us, always looks tall, but always concedes fouls and loses possession.

cant believe keane is on the list although should never have been bought back.if its true 70% of the supporters will be happy.the figure was 30% when he came back from liverpool.time appears to confirm the 30% opinion.may it be true.

Keane was always a let down - he's selfish, and I actually believe that he has a serious eye problem, because he never sees players in better positions than him. Hutton - well I suppose he was just one right back too many, although not a bad player. Pav is teh one that galls me, and there has to be something else behind teh scenes here. He is a really good player, better than Croudh, but for some reason Harry doesn't like him. Maybe those early rumours of him liking his drink are true? Bentley has always flattered to deceive - always a poor mans Beckham, butwith nowhere near the same skill and class

Disappointed about Keane but think its time he moved on. Pav never given a chance but hope he does well when he moves on. Need to get rid of Crouchy, he's an infuriating player to watch and always falls over. Jermaine has been a huge success since returning so I think Ruud would be a good partner except hes so old and injury prone. Need someone strong and powerful to complement him... like a better version of Carew...

Never looked like scoring again Wolves with Crouchy i'm afraid...

Rubbish!!!
How many times has Redknapp and Levy now said that no one leaving, Harry has said it at least twice and Levy made it a general announcement to the share holders at the annual meeting. No one will be leaving unless a genuine generous offer is made. They have stated that they are very happy with the squad and dont want to mess up the continuity of the established squad. This is speculative reporting at best.

keano is a spurs legend!! nuff said!! v sad to se him go!!

Peter Crouch striker at Spurs. HE can't shoot, he can;t head. He just nods down the ball blindly hoping that someone is there to receive the ball. Really, Harry, please do not use him and support him just because you signed him!!!!

Why are people so confused about Pav. He is clearly homesick and has not acclimitised to the environment and learnt the language. Even Hiddink has come out and said he need to "fight" more and be more physical. Yes, he can be a good player but in the time given, he has not really done himself any justice

Lets go in for Beckford ,Leeds cant hold on to him for much longer, also Cahill would be good, Hutton is shite,Bentley bores me,Keane seems to have lost his spark a bit, would miss his leadership though, bye jenas, and also id ditch Huddlestone, yeah ok he he's got a good shot and pass, but he's a bloody pussycat,no bollocks, cant tackle, need another Palacios to help defend!

We keep picking Crouch over Keane... what the hell is with our supporters and Harry.... Crouchy is absolutely useless!!! Harry we know you have a point to prove because you bought him - but he's a waste .... Bently needs to go... Pav was never given a fair opportunity, from being the key striker to always having to contest for his spot, he could never adapt...
