Hernanes
AC Milan are locked in a battle with city rivals Inter to sign Sao Paolo midfielder Hernanes , according to Italian daily Corriere dello Sport.
The 24 year-old's agent Joseph Lee revealed that three clubs had approached the player, but refused to disclose who they were. Hernanes has spent almost his entire career at Sao Paolo and won the player of the year award in Brazil in 2008.
AC Milan are interested in Hernanes as a long-term investment as midfielders such as Gennaro Gattuso , Clarence Seedorf, Andrea Pirlo and Massimo Ambrosini are the wrong side of 30.
In addition to Inter Milan , Barcelona and CSKA Moscow are also rumoured to be interested in Hernanes , who has played once for the Brazilian national team.
