Cagliari goalkeeper Federico Marchetti , currently on loan from Albionleffe, has been targeted by AC Milan as their future custodian.

The 26-year-old has been scouted by the Rossoneri and is seen as the long term replacement for Christian Abbiati. Marchetti began his career at Torino and has been in impressive form this season.

IMScouting’s network of scouts in Italy describe Marchetti as a "reliable goalkeeper between the posts, has great reflexes and has very good one on one ability. Needs to improve his aerial ability in order to really become a top goalkeeper. Season 2008/2009 is his first season as a first choice goalkeeper in Serie A with Cagliari and he made a great impression with some excellent performances."

Marchetti is contracted to Cagliari until the end of the season and to Albionleffe until the end of the 2012/2013 season. Video evidence of the custodian can be seen on the video below.
