Having impressed in Brazilian football since leaving Inter Milan, Adriano could be on his way back to Europe, according to his agent.

Gilmar Rinaldi told Terra Esportes: "It is too early to think about renewing the contract with Flamengo."

Rinaldi added: "There is the possibility that Adriano will return to Europe in December, even though his contract with Flamengo expires in May."

Adriano’s priority is now thought to be the Brazil national team, Rinaldi: "Returning to the Selecao has made him very motivated. It's crucial that he continues to play well with Flamengo in order to be taken into consideration by Dunga."

During the 2009 season, Adriano has scored 12 goals in 19 appearances and also provided two assists.
