Reports in the Dutch press confirm that Ajax are to start contract talks with midfielder Eyong Enoh and left-sided player Urby Emanuelson.

Enoh, 23, is out of contract at the end of the season and the Amsterdam giants are hoping to tie him down to a contract until the end of the 2011/2012 season.

The defensive midfielder has impressed since arriving from Ajax Cape Town last season and has established himself in the engine room of the side.

Emanuelson’s contract at Ajax expires at the end of the 2010/2011 season and the left-sided player is eager to agree a new deal.

Ajax hope both players will sign on and coach Martin Jol is pleased with both their performances and the spirit they bring to the dressing room.
