Arsene Wenger’s famed scouting network has targeted two 15-year-olds to bring to the Arsenal academy, with the Gunners reportedly close to sealing their first deals of the summer.

Jamie Edge from Cheltenham is all set for a move according to Paul Baker, chairman of the League One club relegated at the end of the season: "We believe it is an excellent deal for the club both in terms of the money we will receive this season and next and further payments that become due depending upon the progress Jamie makes at both club and international level."

Baker added: "It is a particularly exciting opportunity for Jamie who now has to agree personal terms with Arsenal before the deal can be confirmed." Edge recently played for the Arsenal Under-16 team in a tournament in Italy.

Alongside Edge, the Gunners are also set to swoop for FC Zurich central defender Martin Angha. He was given a tour of the club during and after the 4-1 Premier League win over Stoke on Sunday and also played for the Under-15 Arsenal side in a win over Chelsea this week.

Arsenal are expected to pay a nominal fee to both Cheltenham and FC Zurich, both players will go into the Gunners Under-16 squad at the start of next season.
