Despite widespread reports that meeting will be held next week over Sergio Aguero’s proposed move to Chelsea, both
Atletico Madrid and the player’s agent have denied any knowledge of the move.
Spanish newspaper AS claim today that
Atletico Madrid has no record of any meetings about the future of Aguero and have not received any offers from Chelsea.
The struggling Spanish club expect to speak with Aguero in the coming weeks over a new contract. The Argentine striker is contracted with the club until the end of season 2011/2012.
In addition, Aguero’s agent Bruno Satin has also denied he will be meeting with Chelsea next week, contradicting reports that he was in South America searching for a replacement for Aguero.
Satin: "It is true that I am in South America, I spent a week in Brazil and now I am in Montevideo, but I know absolutely nothing about Aguero."
