Bayern Munich's Italian striker Luca Toni and coach Louis van Gaal continued their feud during yesterday's match against Hanover.  Having been fined €25,000 for his open criticism of van Gaal, Toni was forced to sit on the bench for 90 minutes.

The 32 year old striker hit back in an interview with Italian station RAI 2, saying "Thank God the transfer window opens soon.  I'll talk to the club, since I don't like the situation."

Commenting on links with a January move to Roma or Napoli, and perhaps with one eye on the summer's World Cup he continued "Naples is a great thing, but in Italy there are two or three teams that I like."

In response, van Gaal explained his decision to make Toni sit on the bench, "He has not apologized."
