Borussia Dortmund’s Brazilian left back Dede is set to undergo surgery after picking up a serious knee injury.
The 31-year-old picked up the injury in the 1-1 draw with Werder Bremen last Sunday and has ruptured the ligaments in his right knee.
Dede has also damaged his meniscus and could be out for as long as six months although initial reports suggest he could be back in training in January.
The former Atletico Belo Horizonte defender has played nine matches for
Borussia Dortmund this season, providing one assist.
