Beleaguered Celtic manager Tony Mowbray is planning to boost his strike force with a January move for St Etienne's Brazilian forward Ilan Araujo dal igna, better known as Ilan .  

The Parkhead boss does not have funds to spend, but will be keen to make changes following the Glasgow giant's poor form this season.  With Ilan 's contract at the French club soon to expire, the 29 year old would be available on a free transfer under the Bosman ruling.  Although he has won three caps for Brazil, Ilan also has Italian nationality and so securing a work permit would not pose a problem. 

Although not a prolific scorer in his three and a half seasons at St Etienne, Ilan 's all round contribution in a variety of attacking roles made him crucial to the French side reaching the last 16 of last year's UEFA Cup.
