Stephane Sessegnon
A report in the News of the World this morning claims that “Chelsea and Liverpool are set to do battle for PSG ace
Stephane Sessegnon this summer.”
Aidan Magee in the Sunday tabloid adds: "The Benin international has refused to commit his future to the French club and would attract bids from the Premier League of around £12million."
The 24-year-old midfielder is currently contracted to PSG until the end of the 2011/2012 season and would be attractive to both Chelsea and Liverpool since he can play in any position in central midfield.
Sessgnon joined PSG from Le Mans last summer for seven million euros and made 43 appearances, scoring six goals and providing five assists. He came to prominence last season at Le Mans when he claimed five goals in 30 games.
IMScouting’s network of scouts in France describe Sessegnon as a player who "compensates for his small size (6.6ft) with great technique and supersonic speed. Has great dribbling skills."
Video evidence of Sessgnon in action can be seen on the video below.
