David Villa - Would play in England
Spanish star
David Villa has revealed that he would consider a move to England. The Valencia striker reportedly said "I have not closed the door on any club because I only have a short career and I want to enjoy my football… I have had a lot of offers but I would have to pick the best option, and that could be in the Premier League, which I have never ruled out.”
This latest hint on Villa's future will have alerted long time admirers Manchester United and Chelsea. Thought to have a price tag of at least €30m both clubs would be willing to spend big to secure the signature of one of the world's top strikers. Villa has already netted 11 goals this season and his international record is outstanding having scored 34 goals in 53 matches for Spain.
Cash strapped Valencia will be keen to cash in on their prized asset while Chelsea would welcome a timely boost to their strike force with both Didier Drogba and Salomon Kalou heading to the African Cup of Nations in January. Meanwhile, Villa could provide Manchester United with much needed attacking ammunition with Chelsea threatening to topple the Premier League champions.
