Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson indicated that he would not look to sign a replacement for veteran Dutch goalkeeper Edwin Van der Sar when he hangs up his gloves.

39 year old Van der Sar has made a record 130 appearances for the Dutch national team and is expected to decide next month whether to sign for another year at Old Trafford or to retire from the game.

United manager Ferguson appears unfazed by the prospect of losing his vastly experienced goalkeeper and praised current keepers in waiting Ben Foster and Tomasz Kuszczack.  Ferguson reportedly commented in a press conference on Tuesday "Ben has an incredible ability and he needs to gain experience. Tomasz, it is also a good goalkeeper".

Foster has made nine first team appearances for United this season and already has four England caps to his name.   Kuszczack has made one solitary appearance for United so far this season, but has made eight appearances for the Polish national team.
