Widespread reports this morning suggest Fulham have agreed a £2.5million deal to sign Almeria striker Kalu Uche .

Uche, 26, has been at Almeria for three seasons after previous spells with Espanyol and Wisla Krakow. He is predominantly a right-sided forward but can also play deeper in midfield on the right hand side.

The Nigerian international (16 caps/1 goal) scored eight goals in 27 appearances last season in the Primera Division. Uche was also booked once and sent off twice in 2008/2009.

Scouts in Spain describe Uche as a "Fast and hard working offensive player. Not very effective in one on one situations, but has good scoring record in the Spanish top flight. He is best used as a right forward and can also play as a midfielder along the flank, behind the forwards or as a striker. His athleticism is of the highest caliber."
