LDU Quito smash five past Fluminense in the Copa Sudamericana final first leg

When Fluminense took the lead after just one minute against LDU Quito in the Copa Sudamericana first leg, they must have thought they would put themselves in a good position for the second leg.

The home side had other ideas though. In particular Edison Mendez who scored a hat-trick, including two fine long range strikes to put the home side in control. Further goals from Salas and de la Cruz (stunning long range strike) now leave Flu needing a miracle in the second leg next Wednesday.
