Croatian playmaker Luka Modric is expected to return to the Tottenham first team at the beginning of November after he was given the all clear from specialists.

Modric sustained a fracture to his right fibula during victory over Birmingham City at White Hart Lane in late August.

The 24-year-old schemer went for an X-ray last Thursday after making a tentative return to training, results showed no further damage.

Although he is out of the Carling Cup clash with Everton on Tuesday and the North London derby on Saturday, Modric could return for the Premier League match against Sunderland on November 7.

Something is not right here Harry said he would be back and it looks like there is no problem with the break so why is he reluctant to put is weight on is leg . While he is away our top four chances are slipping away with a loss and a draw. when the story broke about UTD and carrick swap he should have ignored it but he answered in a strange way by saying Spurs will probably offer me a better contract and i dont think we did he could be waiting for January we will have to wait and see where both him and Lennon will be in February hopefully at Spurs.
