Grosso, hopeful of a return to Serie A
With the end of the summer transfer window just hours away, the long-running saga of
Fabio Grosso ’s possible move from Lyon to Juventus still seems a long way off.
Reports in Italy this morning suggest Lyon are holding out for a fee of four million euros despite the fact they want to offload Grosso as they start Aly Cissokho in the left back position.
In the last 48 hours Juventus offered 1.5 million euros for Grosso with a further bonus of 500,000 euros if the “Old Lady” win the Scudetto.
Juventus have already agreed personal terms with Grosso, thought to be around 1.7 million euros per season in a three-year contract.
Grosso is keen on a return to Italy in order to ensure he is in Italy’s World Cup 2010 squad. Juventus may turn their attentions to Liverpool’s Andrea Dossena if they fail to capture Grosso.
