Manchester City have been accused of tapping up Swansea’s 15-year-old winger Emyr Huws, according to a report in The People this morning.
Alan Nixon writes: "Huws, 15, is training with the Eastlands club even though he is on Swansea's books and the Welsh side claim he is being privately educated at a Yorkshire boarding school, with Manchester City paying the fees."
Nixon adds: "If Huws signs for City, Swansea could demand as much as £500,000 in compensation and are ready to go to FIFA if they are not satisfied with the settlement for a midfielder rated the best young Welsh footballer since Ryan Giggs."
Huws turns 16 in late October when he can sign for City but Swansea are compiling a dossier which they will present to the FA in order to receive compensation. He has represented Wales at Under-17 level and has been with Swansea for six years.
A Swansea official said: "We would ideally like the player to come back to us but that's not going to happen. However, there will have to be proper compensation."
In response a spokesman for Manchester City said: "The compensation procedure is something that is standard when two clubs cannot agree a fee."
Manchester City have also been reported to FIFA by Rennes over the signing of defender Jeremy Helan.
