Player Efficiency: The most effective attacking players in 08⁄09 Israel's Ligat Al

August 21, 2009 | Special Report | 0 Comments | Bookmark and Share

With Israel’s Ligat Al kicking off again this weekend, we have delved into the IMScouting database to see who were the most effective players during the 2008/2009 season.

Coming out on top of this Special Report is the “assist king” of Israel, David Revivo. Newcomers Hapoel Beer Sheva have secured the services of the set-piece specialist for the coming season and it is a major surprise he hasn’t moved to a bigger club.

Second in the report, with a goal or an assist every 117.3 minutes is Beitar Jerusalem’s Barak Itzakhi. The 24-year-old striker has remained at Teddy Stadium and could well be the team’s talisman in the coming campaign.

Next up is Pedro Galvan, the Argentinean playmaker averaged a goal or an assist every 123.9 minutes. Galvan is on loan from Gimnasia La Plata and could well be good enough to play in a better European league. Another Bnei Yehuda player appears next and Eliran Atar could be another Israeli who could impress in European football in years to come.
