Saturday's clash at Loftus Road brings together two clubs looking over their shoulders but at opposite ends of the Championship table.  QPR find themselves just in the play off zone but with a host of clubs on their tails.  Meanwhile Coventry City are just three points clear of the relegation zone.  Victory for either side would allow them to look at the table with greater ease.

The Sky Blues visit West London having not won a league match since the end of September – A 3-2 victory at Watford.  QPR's form meanwhile has been patchy of late and having experienced a free-scoring victorious run a few weeks ago they have stuttered recently.  Last week's 2-0 defeat at Doncaster Rovers incensed manager Jim Magilton, who told the Kilburn Times "The last half hour was probably as poor as these lads have played for me and for themselves since I've been in the job."

Despite their poor form, Coventry possess some dangerous attacking options.  Leon Best has already notched 8 goals this season, while Clinton Morrison is a veteran goalscorer at this level with a tendency to hit the back of the net against Rangers.  In defence though, experienced defender Marcus Hall is sidelined for Saturday's match through injury.

Rangers are expected to hand home debuts to recent loan signings Tommy Williams and Steven Reid.  Loftus Road is hardly unchartered territory for Williams who has previously enjoyed a lengthy loan spell in West London.  Reid meanwhile is looking to resurrect his career following a long period on the sidelines at Blackburn Rovers.

Coventry will have to contend with Rangers potent attacking options.  The quartet of Akos Buszacky, Wayne Routledge, Jay Simpson and Adel Taraabt have caused havoc among Championship defences this season.  However, if the Sky Blues can keep them quiet, there is every chance that the likes of Best and Morrison can take advantage of Rangers inconsistency.
