Quaresma, has struggled this season at Inter and Chelsea
Following a poor season at both
Inter Milan and Chelsea, Portuguese winger
Ricardo Quaresma has been targeted by Russian giants Zenit St Petersburg.
The 25-year-old right-sided attacking midfielder moved to
Inter Milan for 18.6 million euros in the summer but struggled to establish himself at the San Siro and moved to Chelsea on loan during the January transfer window.
Quaresma failed to make an impact at Stamford Bridge, making just four Premier League appearances, the last of which came in March.
Dick Advocaat’s Zenit St Petersburg are now believed to have targeted Quaresma in the summer transfer window, according to reports in Russia today.
The former Porto and Barcelona winger could be a replacement for fellow Portuguese international Danny who has picked up a serious knee injury and is expected to be sidelined for at least three months.
