A report in Italian newspaper Corriere dello Sport today claims Roma are interested in bringing back Adriano to Italy in the January transfer window.

Roma are expected to draw up their January targets after the derby match with Lazio on Sunday and they have been linked with a host of strikers including Luca Toni, Ruud van Nistelrooy and Roman Pavlyuchenko.

Roma coach Claudio Ranieri is eager to bring in a striker and Adriano has been in impressive form for Flamengo since leaving Inter Milan.

Adriano is currently the top goal scorer in Brazil’s Serie A having scored 19 goals 29 appearances and is leading the Flamengo charge for the title. The Rio giants are top by two points going into the last game of the season.
