Toni Kroos has for many years been hailed as a future German talent and despite being part of the Bayer Leverkusen that sit top of the table, the 19-year-old has failed to grab many headlines.

The playmaker, on loan from Bayern Munich, opened the scoring for Leverkusen in their 2-2 draw with Schalke on Saturday with a stunning volley that flashed into the net.

The goal can be seen on the video below and is reminiscent of Zinedine Zidane’s famous effort in the Champions League final of 2002 against Leverkusen.
