Scott Loach
Following Carlo Cudicini's absence for the rest of the season, Tottenham are keen to secure the signature of promising Watford goalkeeper Scott Loach .
21 year old Loach has been the first choice keeper at Vicarage Road since the start of the 2008/9 season. His solid performances have led to international recognition, having represented Stuart Pearce's England under 21 side on several occasions, including the final of the summer's European under 21 championships.
Known to be an excellent shot stopper, Loach would add much needed competition for the number one shirt at White Hart Lane.
Watford are in a dire financial state and the sale of their star keeper would help stave off the prospect of administration. A source said "Watford will have to take the best offer they can get and Spurs are making the running."
