Vasco - Set to sign Dodo
Brazilian media reported that Vasco de Gama are set to sign the ex-Botafogo and Fluminese striker Dodo, who was suspended for two years having failed a drugs test.
The Rio de Janeiro based club is expected to announce a one year deal for the 35 year old in the coming days. Dodo was suspended having failed a test conducted after Botafogo's 4-0 victory over Vasco in June 2007.
Vasco are reported to have made a move for the striker last week, his suspension having expired on 7 November. Although it was announced in January that Dodo's appeal against his ban had been rejected by the International Tribunal in Lausanne, Switzerland, it now seems that he is on the verge of a high profile return to Brazilian football.
