West Ham are reportedly prepared to sell England goalkeeper Robert Green during the January transfer window.

A potential deal could be beneficial for both Green and the Hammers.  Green is eager to keep himself in Fabio Capello's World Cup plans and a move away from the struggling Hammers could be just what he needs.

Meanwhile the Upton Park club would welcome the money. Green is currently valued at around €7.5-10M and will soon enter the final year of his current contract and so January could prove a timely point to find a buyer.  With a potential survival battle ahead, West Ham manager Gianfranco Zola would welcome the funds that Green's sale would provide.

Sunderland are believed to be interested in the 29 year old who has eight England caps to his name.
