Emmanuel Adebayor
Emmanuel Adebayor has asked Italian giants Juventus to come and rescue him from the potential Manchester City wilderness.
The Togo front man endured a troubled season last term, including the fatal attack on the Togo team at the African Nations Cup. Nonetheless, the 26-year-old still scored an impressive fourteen goals in 26 games for Manchester City .
However, City boss Roberto Mancini will come under pressure to send some players packing, given that he must announce a 25-man squad by September 1. There is enormous competition in the Manchester City attack with the likes of Carlos Tevez , Craig Bellamy , Robinho and Roque Santa Cruz already on the books before the possible arrival of Mario Balotelli .
Talking to Turin-based daily Tuttosport, Adebayor said "Juventus are a great club in which I would like to play,
"Until some time ago I would not have accepted a transfer to other clubs. I wanted to wear the City shirt and have a better season compared to last year, but I know there will not be many chances for me and so I am considering the many offers I have received.
"I am sorry to leave the Premier League, but in Europe there are other top leagues."
